These links are helpful, especially the calculator. Geothermal energy is a great resource. Many homeowners can invest in this not only for the short term of regulating their surroundings, but also in the long term by providing generations with clean, sustainable source of heating and cooling. I have seen many areas also look into and begin research on using geothermal sources for their energy needs as well; mainly in Indonesia.
The outright cost is expensive, but the individual makes that up in 2-10 years after installation. Another thing the homeowner has to make sure they do is find a contractor/installer who will do the job properly. Always research every avenue when investing in something like this. Geothermal air and heating is a wonderful thing, just make sure you get your money’s worth when you install it.
Another link for those in the southern regions of the U.S. is http://www.eggsystems.com and http://www.egggeothermal.com Both helpful links for those looking into geothermal options.
